The 28-year-old rapper Soulja Boy was sentenced Tuesday morning.

    What We Know:

    • Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, will serve 240 days for violating his probation. What he did to violate his probation is unknown.
    • According to CNN, the judge gave him 40 days credit on the sentence for having been locked up the last 20 days.
    • The judge also reinstated Soulja’s 265 days of community service.  The rapper says he is very thankful to the judge that he was sentenced to only 240 days because the judge was initially contemplating a sentence of two years.
    • Soulja’s attorney affirmed to the courts that once he’s released, he would be committed to following all orders and directives of the court and of the probation department, reassuring the court of his client’s future good behavior.

Hopefully the rapper can bounce back when he returns.
