    First Kenya Barris Netflix Show Announced, ‘Black Excellence’

    What We Know:

    • Kenya Barris recently signed a deal for $100 million with streaming titan Netflix. “Black Excellence” will be the first series to come from that deal.
    • According to Variety, “Black Excellence,” will be a family sitcom and similar to “Curb Your Enthusiasm. ” The show’s official description on IMDb is “ a father takes an irreverent and honest approach to parenting and relationships.”
    • Rashida Jones (The Office, Parks & Rec., Angie Tribeca) and Barris will both serve as executive producers and star in the show.
    • While Barris is no stranger to television, this will be his first time in front of the camera. Staring opposite a veteran like Rashida Jones will come in handy!
