Barack Obama tweeted a message of support to a Sikh man celebrating Pride month.

    What We Know:

    • Former president, Barack Obama, left the encouraging message on Jiwandeep Kohli’s photo of himself wearing a rainbow turban.
    • Kohli captioned the photo, “I’m proud to be a bisexual bearded baking brain scientist. I feel fortunate to be able to express all these aspects of my identity, and will continue to work toward ensuring the same freedom for others.”
    • Barack Obama replied to the tweet, saying, “you’ve got a lot to be proud of, Jiwandeep.” He also thanked the man for trying to make the country more equal.

Kohli made the turban himself! Happy pride month!
