- The Power actress revealed her big win to her Instagram followers. “So… it all started when I put $200 in a slot machine in NOLA at 4am this morning” she captioned the clip.
- The next video showed La La’s friends screaming with excitement when the machine hit for a grand jackpot of $53,000. La La stood with her mouth wide open in disbelief as the machine hit for another $10,000! “We went crazy!! But wait… the machine kept going!! Grand total $68,000. Thank you NOLA… I love you!”

- Her win came just in time to lift her spirits after it was reported that she is considering legal options after splitting from her husband Carmelo Anthony. The couple initially tied the knot in 2010 but had split in 2017. They reconciled in 2018, but things took a turn after Carmelo was spotted on a yacht with another woman.
