Netflix‘s ‘Dear White People’ will end after its fourth season in 2020.

    What We Know:

    • Netflix has renewed the show ‘Dear White People’ for its fourth and final season. The announcement was officially made through a video released of a facetime call made by actor Marque Richardson to fellow other main cast members.
    • The show is based on a group of black students who attend ‘Winchester University’ a predominately white university. The plot follows each student as they navigate through different social injustices, cultural differences, social norms, and revolutionaries of the millennial age. The show is based on the movie ‘Dear White People’ created by Justin Simien in 2014, he will be returning as co-showrunner for the 10th and final episode.
    • He released this statement following the announcement: “I’m so grateful my little indie-that-could has made it to four seasons at Netflix…This show, along with the many talented storytellers it has brought into my orbit, has changed my life and I can’t wait to create a celebratory final volume befitting such a transformative experience.”
    • The show currently is under the direction of Yvette Lee Bowser co-showrunner and executive producer. It features stars such as Antoinette Robertson, Logan Browning, Brandon P. Bell, Richardson and DeRon Horton.

Although it had a good run, ‘Dear White People’ and other shows such as ‘Grace and Frankie’ and ‘Glow’ will also be ending after their next seasons on Netflix.
