So far three people have been connected to the death of Aniah Blanchard.

    What We Know:

    • According to Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes, human remains were found in a wooded area of Macon County, Alabama, on Monday. On Thursday, it was confirmed to be Aniah Blanchard’s body.
    • Blanchard was the stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris and was attending Southern Union State Community College. She was 19 at the time of her disappearance and was last seen just before midnight on October 23 in Auburn. Two days after her disappearance, her damaged SUV was found an hour away in Montgomery at an apartment complex.
    • According to an affidavit released to the public, Blanchard’s blood was found on the passenger seat of her SUV.  The document said, “the blood was indicative as if someone suffered from a life-threatening injury”.
    • Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the disappearance. On November 7, Ibraheem Yazeed, 30, was arrested in Florida and was transported to Alabama, where he was charged with first-degree kidnapping. Antwain Shamar Fisher, 35, was also arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping. David Johnson Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama, has been charged with hindering prosecution in regards to the case.
    • Video surveillance footage from the convenience store in Auburn showed Blanchard and Yazeed at the store at the same time. A witness said that he saw Yazeed forcing Blanchard into a vehicle against her will and leaving with her.
    • According to the affidavit, Fisher helped Yazeed by providing transportation and helping to dispose of evidence.

Hughes said last Wednesday that additional charges will be filed once the cause of death is determined.
