According to The Blast, Damon Dash is being accused of sexual battery by a famed hip-hop photographer.
What We Know:
- Monique Bunn has filed a $50 million Federal lawsuit against Damon Dash, his fiancé Raquel Horn and his entertainment companies Damon Dash and Poppington LLC.
- Bunn’s attorney Chris Brown stated that Bunn was flown out to Los Angeles to meet with Dash and Horn to shoot new programming for the companies. Once Bunn arrived, she immediately started shooting the material for Dash’s companies. Towards the end of the shoot, Dash provided Bunn a room at his residence to stay during the trip.
- According to Blast, “Bunn accuses Dash of sexual assault toward her in the late evening. Dash allegedly sexually assaulted Bunn while she was sleeping. Bunn said Dash approached her as he allegedly placed his hand on Bunn’s breast and placed his hands/fingers on Bunn’s buttocks. Dash did not have permission or consent to touch Bunn’s sexual organs.”
- “Dash had been drinking and smoking marijuana all day,” Bunn said. She continued to say, upon waking up she was able to get Dash hands off her breast and buttocks, backed him and proceeded to ask him, “what are you doing? I am sleeping and I will fight you!” And then he left the room.
- She did not sleep the rest of the evening because she was scared that he was going to enter the room once again.
- Bunn also stated that Horn and Dash stole personal photography equipment and hard drives that she owned which had 20 years of hip-hop culture photography and other items on them such as images of Mary J. Blige, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Mase, Quincy Jones, Teddy Riley, Lil Kim, The Fugees, Missy Elliot, Xscape, Lenny Kravitz, Lyor Cohen, Russell Simmons, Lauren Hill, KRS One, Outkast, LL Cool J, Q-Tip, The Beatles and President George Bush (during his military career) and many others.
- Despite the claims she made, the video below shows what is believed to be the very next day and or night. Bunn and Dash are seen to have a slight argument and or disagreement about Bunn stealing $5,000 from Dash. Dash is heard telling Bunn to retrieve what she needed to print images for Dash and Horn. Bunn took advantage of his funds (credit card) and bought herself a cellphone and other luxury items and tried to smuggle them back to California. iIt was all caught on tape.
Neither Dame Dash nor his fiancé Raquel Horn have responded to the complaint on Bunn’s behalf. We will keep you updated as this story develops.
