Around 7 p.m., a crash was reported on Manetto Hill and Old Country roads.

    What We Know:

    • Brian Gregg (25) was cleaning his gun when it accidentally discharged. This led a 17-year-old to be hit in the neck. The bullet came out the teen’s shoulder.
    • The 25-year-old, the 17-year-old victim, and another 17-year-old were rushed to the hospital to receive help. This led to the car crash, according to ABC.
    • It’s not clear who or what caused the accident. An off-duty Nassau County officer was in one of those four vehicles in the wreck after leaving work. Despite her injuries, she was able to give aid to the people in need. Five people were taken to the hospital, all the victims survived. Both the teen who was shot and the officer are fine.
    • Gregg was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.

This incident is still being investigated at this time.
