Tyler Perry received backlash for bad wigs and on-screen acting/mistakes. Critics are calling A Fall From Grace his worst film yet.

    What We Know:

    • In brief, Tyler Perry and Crystal Fox admitted in an interview with Hello Beautiful that they had a falling out on the set of A Fall From Grace. The mega-producer attempted to defend himself saying, “No, no, I think hair is very, very important, but figure that sh** out before we get on camera is my whole thing.”
    • Secondly, Perry received criticism via social media, and viewers are not thrilled with the on-screen acting/mistakes. For instance, a viewer pointed out the judge in the film was recorded reading the film script behind the bench. In addition, viewers spotted an extra “eating air” and drinking from an empty cup. Many have found enjoyment from scavenging for mistakes in the film.

    • The mega-producer also responded to allegations, denying exploiting black women’s pain and trauma. Perry said, “I’m always trying to send a message that you don’t have to deal with this sh**.” Furthermore, he added, “It’s not about making money off of a woman’s pain, it is about telling a story and I wish that people, especially black women, would get off of the fact of saying, ‘Oh, he making money off of black women’.”

A Fall From Grace, premiered January 17, 2020 on Netflix. The film backtracked the disturbing peculiarities of a convicted Grace (the main character) and her relationship with a young Shannon (con artist).
