Actor Omar Epps is officially joining the Power team, following being casted in its prequel and spinoff Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
What We Know:
- According to Deadline, only five days after the Power series finale wrapped up, rapper 50 Cent wasted no time confirming that Power Book III: Raising Kanan was in the works along with three other spinoffs. Raising Kanan is expected to follow the upbringing of 50 Cent’s since deceased character Kanan.
- Power Book II: Ghost will star Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Michael Rainey Jr., Shane Johnson, and Naturi Naughton. Larenz Tate will star in another spinoff entitled Power Book IV: Influenced and Joseph Sikora will finally get his change playing the lead in Power Book V: Force, which is slated to be shot in Los Angles, the Grio.
- According to The Grio, “The publication reports that,“Along with Kemp’s End of Episode banner, 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film and Television and Atmosphere Entertainment MM, Lions-Gate TV is producing the four Power spinoffs series for Starz Power Book II-V.”
- In addition to his acting, Epps has also authored a book called Fatherless to Fatherhood.
