A woman and a 5-year-old boy drowned in a pool at former LA Dodgers Carl Crawford’s home on Saturday afternoon.

    What We Know:

    • Around 2:40pm Saturday, the police were called to the residence belonging to Carl Crawford.
    • Police spokeswoman stated the boy was swimming in the pool when he began to have trouble breathing, and the woman jumped in to save him. According to TMZ, Crawford tried to revive the woman and the boy but was unsuccessful. Both were unresponsive when police arrived.
    • Unfortunatley, both were declared dead after being transported to the hospital. No further details were immediately avaliable.
    • Houston native, Carl Crawford was a four-time All-Star outfielder who ended his career in the major leagues playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016.
    • Crawford was a high school star set to attend Nebraska for football. He instead chose baseball and played for Tampa Bay, the Boston Red Sox, and the Dodgers.
    • After retiring from Major League Baseball, Crawford became a record executive.

Three-quater of all drownings in pools and hot tubs happen at home. June is the most dangerous month.
