Kentucky tattoo parlor, Gallery X Art Collective, wants to unite the community amidst the recent incidents and to support the Black Lives Matter movement through ink.

- Among the protests on the Black Lives Matter movement, a Kentucky parlor, Gallery X Art Collective has offered free appointments for those who want a second chance.
- Tattoo artists Jeremiah Swift and Ryun King are taking a step forward against police brutality and encouraging everyone to come in for a free cover-up and stand against hate.
“It’s definitely a long-overdue change.”
- The duo said the following: “A lot of people when they were younger just didn’t know any better and were left with mistakes on their bodies. We just want to make sure everybody has a chance to change.”
- After posting on their Facebook page, almost 30 people have asked for appointments to remove unwanted “hateful” tattoos.
- The parlor’s first client was Jennifer Tucker, a 36-year-old mother who had a small confederate flag on her ankle. She had gotten the tattoo when she was 18 and that is not who she is anymore.
- The mother of two said the following when interviewed by CNN on her change:
“I just needed to get that symbol of hatred off of my body.”
- The outpouring of support by customers and followers took over on Twitter.

Gallery X Art Collective has received multiple calls and messages for cover-ups and is working to schedule everyone while following COVID-19 guidelines. Their mission statement has been widely supported by the community and is encouraging others to come in and get a do-over to start the path they were meant to be.
