Per the press release, “There are films that expand our emotional capacity and then some that move us from bystanders toward action. Black Girls aims to do both. The riveting film serves as an exposè by highlighting how necessary it is to invest in Black stories if we dare to create a world that honors each other in unprecedented ways.”

The doc features recounts from Allyson Felix, the most decorated athlete in Olympic History in her sport, Marley Dias, the teen visionary behind the #1000BlackGirlBooks movement featured on ELLEN and interviewed by VP Kamala Harris, among others, per the release. Watch the trailer above.

“Black Girls” illuminates Black women’s powerful narratives and experiences. Through intimate interviews, the film explores Black women and girls’ challenges, triumphs, and contributions, offering a platform for voices often marginalized in mainstream media.

This visual experience invites audiences to celebrate the resilience, creativity, and cultural impact of “Black Girls.”
