*Kevin Hunter, Wendy Williams’ former spouse, insists that the celebrity cover two years’ worth of overdue divorce payments.
According to court filings, Hunter is seeking the resumption of payments that were suspended before Wendy was placed under guardianship in 2022. The payments are outlined in the Marital Settlement Agreement he and the former talk show host entered into, The U.S. Sun reports.
In the filing, Hunter stated that attempts at out-of-court mediation had proven unsuccessful, prompting him to return the case to the court again.
“I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses and having been without this income for twenty-three months has affected me greatly,” Hunter told the court.
Hunter wants Wendy to “immediately pay all severance payments which may be due and owing at the time of this Court’s Order.”
Kevin is also seeking to finalize documents related to Wendy’s AFTRA Retirement Plan.
“I also respectfully request that the court compel the Plaintiff to sign the Qualified Domestic Relations Order for the AFTRA Retirement Plan or in the alternative appoint me an Attorney in Fact so that I can execute the document if the Plaintiff does not sign the document within seven (7) days of this Court’s Order,” the filing states, per The U.S. Sun.
“I would not have to file this motion if the plaintiff did not stop my severance payments and if the plaintiff would have signed the qualified domestic relations order for the AFTRA retirement plan,” Hunter added.
Williams’ team recently announced that she was diagnosed with “frontotemporal dementia and aphasia” in 2023 “after undergoing a battery of medical tests.”
Wendy has been contending with various other health challenges, including Graves’ disease, lymphedema, and alcohol abuse.
