*Dr. Dre will receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week, and it will be installed next to Snoop Dogg’s star.
The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, March 19. Media personality Big Boy will host the event, and Snoop will speak alongside Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine, Yahoo reports.
“Dr. Dre’s contributions to the music industry are undeniable and have left an indelible mark on popular culture,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in a statement.
“As a producer, rapper, and entrepreneur, Dr. Dre has continuously pushed boundaries and set new standards for excellence. It is with great pride that we honor his incredible career and extraordinary impact by awarding him a star on the Walk of Fame,” the statement continued.
Martinez added, “Dr. Dre’s star will serve as a lasting symbol of his immense talent and enduring legacy in the world of music.” Dre’s star will live in front of Jimmy Kimmel’s studio on Hollywood Blvd.
Meanwhile, in related news, Snoop has responded to Suge Knight’s claim that the rapper is a member of a “secret society” with Dre and Diddy.
“Once they start painting they fingernails and wearing women’s clothes, they got you,” Knight said on the March 9 episode of his Collect Call podcast, Vibe reports.
He also recounted occasions when Diddy received extravagant gifts from the late Andre Harrell and rapper The Game.
“I remember when they was giving Puffy an award at the ASCAP Awards — Andre went up there and got him an expensive watch and gave it to him in front of everybody. He basically confessed his love to this man,” the incarcerated hip-hop mogul said. “Then Puffy and Snoop became besties. Every time you see one, you seen the other one. Next thing you know, they start painting they fingernails. Didn’t make sense.”
Knight continued, “[The] Game bought Puffy a Lamborghini when Puffy got more money than Game. Why you buying this man a Lamborghini? You know your homies don’t even got a Lamborghini. But once again, it’s that secret society.”
Snoop Dogg posted a laughing and shrugging emoji on social media in response to a report on Suge’s wild remarks.
