*Reports suggest that actor-producer Vin Diesel is livid over Universal executives halting the $250 million budget he’s pushing for “Fast 11.”

The forthcoming movie continues the storyline established in “Fast X,” and is the final film in the “Fast & Furious” franchise. Diesel and Dwayne Johnson are reuniting in the film, with a release date reportedly set for April 4, 2025, ScreenRant reports.

After appearing in “Fast Five” in 2011, Johnson starred in three other Fast movies before co-starring with Jason Statham in “Hobbs & Shaw” in 2019. He walked away from the film franchise after falling out with Vin but they ultimately settled their beef.

In a June 2023 Instagram post, Johnson wrote, “Last summer @vindiesel and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.”

He added, “Despite having our differences, we’ve been like brothers for years.”

According to RadarOnline.com, sources claim producers are ‘begging’ Diesel to lower his budget for the film, “especially since 2023’s Fast X barely turned a profit,” the outlet writes.

“Universal execs are begging Vin to figure out how to make this movie substantially cheaper,” a source told National Enquirer.

Per Radar, insiders claim Diesel “wants to make the biggest Fast movie ever and he’s taking his case to the fans with his social media updates.”

“It’s a clever strategy, but he’s alienating the executives who made him rich,” the source stated.

“Vin has to prove to the studio that fans will show up in huge numbers,” the source said.

Universal hasn’t announced an official cast for the next film, but Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, and Gal Gadot are expected to reprise their roles in “Fast 11” (also called Fast X Part 2).
