The 2024 Paris Olympics are just around the corner, and everyone is getting into the spirit. But it’s not just athletes who are gearing up for the grand event; many of our favorite celebrities are also caught up in the Olympic fever, adding their own “medaled swag.”

Gabrielle Union is one of the latest Hollywood stars to support the upcoming games. On July 25, the stunning actress dropped a hilarious reel to shout out the leading women of Team USA’s gymnastics roster and cheer on the team.

“Team USA, we love you, we are cheering for you, we are praying for you, but you’ve got this,” Gabrielle said emphatically in her new IG post.

Gabrielle Union shows fans’ how to do’ gymnastics ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Gabrielle opened her video showing fans “how you do” gymnastics. She is dressed to commemorate the games, wearing light grey gym shorts and a white Ralph Lauren Team USA Fleece Baseball Jacket. Her hair is styled in a tight bun so as not to get in her way.

While in the camera frame, the Think Like A Man star runs onto a patch of grass, preps herself with a quick clap, and does a cartwheel. She then lands on the ground and attempts to kick, but the action is stopped after she appears to experience pain in her leg.

    “Ouch,” she exclaims, hopping.

Our girl Gabby quickly recovers and jokingly asks for Tiger Balm to soothe her pain.

“Jordan, Simone, Suni, Jade, Hezly: we are rooting for you,” Gabrielle continues, shouting out the women’s gymnastics team. “Let’s go, Team USA!”

Gabby cheers on Team USA, but fans can’t help but remember how she cheered in ‘Bring It On.’

Gabrielle’s fans quickly jumped into her comment section with joyous reactions to the video. Many commenters added their support for Team USA – and the badass women on our gymnastics team.  “#TeamUSA lets Goooooo,” wrote one fan.

Others couldn’t help but call out how the video reminded them of Gabrielle’s role as in Bring It On. “Shorty thought she was a Clover again 😭😭😭,” joked one fan, noting the name of Gabrielle’s cheer squad in the 2000 movie. “FRIEND!!! The East Compton Clovers are STILL PROUD! Now go stretch and do it AGAIN!!! 😂😂,” said another.

Bring It On remains a culture classic and one of the most defining films for the esteemed actress. Gabby, a true baddie in the movie, owned the California high school role. Many film fans ask whether she might reprise her role.

She may be open to it. When asked whether a sequel could be in her future, she told Business Insider this past March, “Who knows? We may have something cooking, you know.”

While we don’t know if there will be another Bring It On or a future gymnastics career for Gabby, we do know the Paris Olympics are here. The 2024 games will officially open on Friday, July 26, and run through Sunday, August 11 airing on NBC and Peacock. (For those looking for gymnastics, the sport runs from July 27 to August 1.)
