Yung Miami, the acclaimed rapper whose real name is Caresha Romeka Brownlee, has chosen to engage directly with her audience by returning for a second season of her popular Revolt TV series, “Caresha Please.” The show is set to premiere on Thursday, August 8, at 8 p.m. ET, available on Revolt’s app and YouTube channel. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Miami expressed her readiness to tackle all queries about her personal and professional life. “I’m going to do exactly that on the show,” she stated, highlighting her intention to share her story openly.

    What We Know:

    • The artist has faced considerable public scrutiny following her past relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, Revolt’s founder and former chairman, who has since faced multiple legal challenges. Miami aims to address the myriad of rumors and discuss her recent experiences in the upcoming season, including a poignant moment with viral rap star Saucy Santana, who steps in as interviewer.
    • Amid tears, Miami expressed her steadfast determination, remarking, “I ain’t bring us this far to go backwards.” Santana, probing about her silence on the controversy surrounding her ex, pointed out, “I don’t really feel like you addressed everything.” This reflects the emotional and complex nature of the topics Miami plans to confront on her show.
    • Despite the complications related to her association with Diddy and Revolt TV, Miami chose to continue her project with the media platform. She cited Revolt’s status as a Black-owned company and her established relationship with the team as central reasons for her decision, emphasizing a sense of safety and belonging.
    • Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels expressed enthusiasm about the show’s return, recognizing Miami’s unique influence and anticipating the program’s continued success. “He has no involvement and no connection to REVOLT today,” clarified a spokesperson about Diddy’s current role at Revolt, underscoring his complete detachment from the company since stepping down as chairman in November.
    • “Caresha Please,” which initially gained significant attention with an episode featuring Diddy, has been a strong platform for Miami. As she gears up for the new season, she is focused on a refreshed format and new segments, driven by her devotion to her family and career. Miami’s openness in tackling difficult discussions about her past relationship and the broader implications of her personal trials provides a compelling narrative for viewers.

Season 2 of “Caresha Please” promises to be a candid exploration of Miami’s life and work, inviting audiences to witness her honest reflections and emotional journey. The season debuts on Revolt’s digital platforms on August 8 and will be broadcast on Revolt TV the following day. Miami encourages everyone to watch and experience the full range of emotions and revelations unfolded in the new season, assuring that she has remained truthful in her storytelling.
