Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions is back with another unique horror film, which will likely change how we view college football and the NFL draft forever.

We finally got our first look at HIM, the football horror film produced by Peele, directed by Justin Tipping (Kicks / Joe vs. Carol). The film follows a promising football prospect, Cameron Cade, played by former college football wide receiver Tyriq Withers, whose road to pro football greatness is derailed after an unhinged fan attacks him and he suffers a potentially career-ending brain trauma.

His career gets a second wind when his hero, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), a legendary eight-time Championship quarterback and cultural icon takes him under his wing and trains him at his isolated compound that he shares with his celebrity influencer wife, Elsie White (Julia Fox; Uncut Gems, No Sudden Move).

As the training intensifies, Isaiah’s behavior becomes increasingly darker and sinister, setting Cade on a mind-bending path that he may never be recovered from.

The trailer for HIM continues Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions’ flair for delivering thought-provoking trailers.

HIM arrives in theaters Sept. 19, and also stars Tim Heidecker (First Time Female Director, Us) and Australian comic Jim Jefferies (The Jim Jefferies Show), plus MMA heavyweight fighter Maurice Greene and Hip-Hop phenoms Guapdad 4000 and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack, all three in their feature film debuts.

What Are Moviegoers Saying About HIM’s Teaser Trailer?

Fans are already waving their pom poms in excitement for the next Peele-produced horror film ahead of his return to the director’s chair for his next movie.

“How it feels knowing some of the most watched movies this year will come from black directors,” one post on X, formerly Twitter, read.

Another post read, “Coogler & Peele going band for band.”

We will be seated for HIM too. You can count on that. Hit the gallery below for more reactions.
