Travelers can now book hotels through Uber, allowing them to arrange more of their travels on the same app where they order rides and food deliveries.

Uber announced the news in an April 29 press release, the same day that the company held its 2026 GO-GET event in New York City. The tech titan revealed that, via a partnership with Expedia Group, U.S.-based Uber users can now book accommodations in the app — potentially with a discount.

Members of the company’s savings and benefits program (Uber One) will have “20% discounts off a rolling list of 10,000 hotels (located all over the world), and 10% back in Uber One credits on all bookings.”

Uber teases that Vrbo vacation rentals will be additional choices for travelers to choose from before the end of the year. The press release stated that the places travelers can book in the Uber app will eventually number over 700,000, covering “properties in destinations around the globe.”

The Bigger Vision Behind Uber And Expedia’s New Partnership

Uber detailed that its new in-app hotel booking feature is a part of further establishing it as “one app for everything – helping you go, get, and now travel.” The Uber app isn’t the only one getting an upgrade. Rolling out in June, “Uber rides will be integrated directly in the Expedia app,” according to more information shared about the partnership. Additionally, Expedia’s app will send users push notifications throughout their trips that nudge them to book discounted Uber rides.

“Uber is becoming an app for everything — helping people go, get, and now travel all in one place,” stated Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber. “We’re all living through a moment of real cognitive overload: too many apps, too many decisions, too much noise. At the end of the day, our job is to help people reclaim their time, spending less of it managing the logistics of life and more of it actually living.”

“Travel should feel effortless, and this partnership gets us one step closer to offering a seamless traveler experience,” noted Expedia Group CEO Ariane Gorin. “By connecting our two-sided marketplace with Uber, we’re bringing Uber rides directly into the Expedia app and Expedia Group’s lodging inventory into the Uber app through our Rapid API technology. Together, we’re helping travelers spend less time planning and more time enjoying the journey.”
