A shooting was reported Saturday night at a protest organized for the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor. What We Know: Protests turned ruinous, as video footage showed over a dozen rounds fired into a crowd protesting the murder of Breonna Taylor at Jefferson Square Park. Footage showed a man firing shots that sent protesters scrambling for shelter among tents and park benches. The FBI concluded Tuesday that the noose found in Bubba Wallace’s garage was not part of a hate crime. What We Know: It was reported Sunday that a noose was found in the garage of NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace. The findings were in the midst of Wallace expressing his views on the protests and NASCAR banning the use of the confederate flag. The FBI reported that the noose found in Wallace’s garage had been there since October 2019, so therefore it could not be issued a hate crime. Officer Devin Brosnan spoke about the fatal incident Tuesday hours before Rayshard Brooks was laid to rest. What We Know: Brosnan was one of the officers involved in the death of Brooks. District attorney Paul Howard charged Brosnan with aggravated assault, after video footage showed the officer’s foot on Brooks’ back. Brosnan was placed on administrative duty and is free on a $50,000 signature bond. Rumors insinuated that Atlanta police department had call-ins from officers Wednesday as officer Garret Rolfe was charged with murder. What We Know: Garret Rolfe, the officer who fatally shot 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks, was charged with felony murder charges on Wednesday.
