The highest recorded temperature in the Arctic was recorded over the weekend. What We Know: Over the weekend, the town Verkhoyansk, Siberia was struck with a massive heat wave. The town, located 3,000 miles east of Moscow, is one of the coldest spots on Earth. In November, the town reached nearly 60 degrees below zero, one of the first sports to drop that low this winter. Microsoft has decided to shut down it’s live-streaming service, Mixer, after it fails to meet the expectations of the company. What We Know: On Monday, June 22, Microsoft has decided to shut down its live-streaming service Mixer. The closure of Mixer also comes with the introduction of a new partnership with Facebook and Facebook gaming, where Mixer hopes to bring its community. The Black Lives Matter and Pride Flag have been removed from the US Embassy in South Korea, as per request of State Department Leadership.  What We Know: On Monday night, the Black Lives Matter Flag and Pride Flag had been removed from the US Embassy building in South Korea. What We Know: On Tuesday, June 10th, the Senate confirmed General Charles Q Brown Jr as the Air Force’s new chief of staff. On the night of June 9th during a protest in Richmond, Virginia, the statue of Christopher Columbus was torn down and thrown into the lake by protestors. What We Know: Protestors gathered at Byrd Park in Richmond Virginia in wake of the death of George Floyd.
