Italy police uncovered cocaine stuffed inside coffee beans that were hollowed-out after the package was addressed to a fictional movie character. What We Know: According to the Guardia di Finanza, officers found 130 grams of cocaine in a four-pound shipment of coffee beans that came through Milan’s Malpensa Airport from Colombia. A Spirit Airlines employee was attacked by three passengers over a flight delay. What We Know: A video captured three Spirit Airline employees in a brawl with three passengers over a delayed flight at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. According to the police report, the guests became aggressive and started throwing “miscellaneous items, such as phones, shoes, water bottles, metal boarding signs, and fast food” outside of a gate of a flight headed to Philadelphia. Former first lady Michelle Obama has a new podcast coming out later this month on Spotify. What We Know: The show, called “The Michelle Obama Podcast”, will be exclusive to premium and free Spotify subscribers starting on July 29. The city of Asheville in North Carolina approves reparations for their black residents. What We Know The Asheville City Council recognized and apologized for the city’s historic role in slavery, discrimination and denial of basic rights to Black residents and voted 7-0 to provide reparations to them and their descendants. 9-year-old Javonni Carson was shot while filming a TikTok video in East Atlanta. What We Know: Javonni Carson was one of three people injured in the shooting that happened on Wednesday night along Flat Shoals Road in the East Atlanta Village. It has been reported that the U.S Roman Catholic Church received at least $1.4 billion in federal funds from the Paycheck Protection Program. What We Know: According to an analysis done by the Associate Press, millions of those funds went to dioceses that have paid massive settlements or sought bankruptcy protection due to sexual abuse claims.
