*If it ain’t one thing, well, you know. And no one knows that better than Jonathan Majors. The troubled actor is now facing legal trouble as his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, has filed a lawsuit against him for alleged assault, battery, and defamation stemming from incidents that occurred between 2021 and 2023.
Majors was convicted last December of harassment and assault against Jabbari during a March 2023 altercation in New York City.
Jabbari filed her lawsuit in New York federal court, alleging assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution, and defamation. The defamation claim is based on Majors’ statements in a “Good Morning America” interview where he denied ever harming a woman. In the trial, Majors’ lawyer characterized Jabbari as untruthful about her injuries.
The couple met in 2021 during Majors’ work on “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” in London and began dating, later living together during Majors’ filming of “Loki” Season 2 in 2022. Jabbari’s lawsuit details instances of physical and emotional abuse and claims Majors would threaten self-harm if she ended the relationship.
One incident described in the lawsuit occurred in Los Angeles in 2022, where Majors allegedly pinned Jabbari against a shower door, threw her into a wall, and reacted violently when she tried to escape. Another incident in London the same year involved Majors physically restraining Jabbari and threatening her life.
Text messages between them, included in the lawsuit, purportedly show Majors dissuading Jabbari from seeking medical help and threatening suicide.
Majors is awaiting sentencing for his December 2023 conviction, which led to his termination from his role as Kang the Conqueror in Marvel productions and the removal of his movie “Magazine Dreams” from release schedules.
On the plus side of things, Majors has been seen out and about. He was recently seen at the NAACP Awards with his girlfriend, Meagan Good.
